Welcome Back! Happy New Year!
Room 17 and Stevenson hope everyone had a fantastic, relaxing holiday!
I know I am excited to get back into routine! We have a lot of fun and new things planned for the New Year.
Our class has a goal to write every single day. It could be during a writing period, to discuss a math strategy used, and/or journal writing in Social Studies.
In Math, we are focusing on addition and subtraction (with two/three digit numbers), 2D/3D shapes, and graphing.
Science, we are looking at the position and motion. Over the past week, we have reviewed "what is a force?", vocabulary to add to the dictionary, and activities with various objects to understand what type of force is needed.
Lastly, in Social Studies, we are looking at a specific community in Canada. We have decided to look at Churchill. This week we will begin to locate Winnipeg and Churchill on a map and discuss what a community is.
