We are back...

We have been busy the past month with concert practices/rehearsals, hockey, and the busyness of everyday; we have forgotten all about updating our classroom blog!

Room 17 has been doing a lot of great work this past month.

We have had three visitors come to our school/classroom; Leigh-Anne Kehler, Richelle Scott, and Jon Klassen.

Leigh-Anne is a storyteller, she taught us about the seven teachings through stories and play! Ask us about one the animals and we can tell you the story (animals: Bear, Beaver, Buffalo, Sabe,Turtle, Eagle, and Wolf).

Then, Richelle NorthStar Scott continued our education with the seven teachings. We had the opportunity to listen and sing about one of the animals that represents the teachings. Our class chose the Buffalo Calling song. We picked this song because it represents respect.

The most recent visitor was Jon Klassen. He is an author and illustrator. He read his stories to us and helped us draw with expression. Jon helped us understand that facial features can tell us alot about someone or something. He also has some pretty funny stories!

Keep checking us out... We have more to come in the next couple of weeks!
