First Project Thursday

This month has whipped by so fast! Today is the start WJHA hockey program. Our hockey students went to the Iceplex to learn about team building, friendships, encouragement, sports, and hockey. We get to have fun to....PROJECT THURSDAYS!

Project Thursdays are great! We get to learn the same skills as our friends in hockey, like: team work, building community/friendships, perseverance, determination, respect, organization, focus, optimism, and generosity.

To kick start our first Project Thursday, we created towers using 50 cube-a-links.

Students were partnered with someone that they have not worked with before. It is fun when we can work with new people! Then, each group started counting their 50 cubes.

They were all super builders! Towers were up before you could blink!

It was interesting to see the various thoughts and ideas going into each and every tower.

Once all towers were complete, we got to measure and see what one was the tallest!

Room 17 had tons of fun for their first Project Thursday!
